APOYOnline is pleased to announce the upcoming APOYOnline Masterclass: “ICCROM’s “Our Collections Matter” with José Luiz Pedersoli” on Saturday, September 9th, 2023 from 10am-12pm EST (USA). This exciting Masterclass will provide practical information on the implementation of “Our Collections Matter” (OCM) protocols using the OCM toolkit. The International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM) launched in 2020 their “Our Collections Matter” initiative, which aims to accelerate, increase and amplify activities that support sustainable development through the use, development and conservation of heritage collections. OCM provides practical tools and builds capacity to ensure that collections-based work is valued as a key factor in sustainable development by the heritage sector and other sectors. This Masterclass is USD$ 40 (with discount for students) and will be conducted over Zoom in Portuguese with simultaneous interpretation into English and Spanish. The event is open to all interested cultural heritage practitioners, but limited space is available to facilitate more in-depth and personalized discussions.
