As the name suggests, this group comes together with the Board Members once a month to discuss and strategize about the core areas APOYOnline is working on, such as the coordination of pending events, translations, community engagement, and so on. Aline Zornoff is an architect and urban planner, with an MBA postgraduate degree in Art History, and professional experience focused on the conservation and restoration of cultural heritage. She serves as Cultural Director of the Association of Conservators and Restorers of Cultural Heritage – ARCO.it (2025/2026 term) and has coordinated Studio Aline Zornoff since 2019, dedicated to conservation projects of movable and integrated heritage for public institutions, companies, and private collections.
She is also a member of the Tatiana Zanelatto Conservation and Restoration team, with a focus on mural paintings, and has carried out notable work at the Museum of Sacred Art of Curitiba (MASAC) and at the Church of the Third Order of Saint Francis of the Wounds. Her professional activities include heritage inventorying and diagnostic projects of the built heritage, as well as academic research and publications. Her work has been presented at national and international events, including the 7th Luso-Brazilian Meeting on Conservation and Restoration (Lisbon) and ICOMOS AGA 2024 Brazil (Ouro Preto).

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Conservation and Restoration from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. She is currently a fellow at the Conservation Laboratory of the Casa de Rui Barbosa Foundation (LACRE – FCRB). Previously, she was a fellow at Funarte and worked at the Document Conservation and Restoration Service (SCRD) of the Archive and Documentation Department (DAD) at Casa de Oswaldo Cruz – Oswaldo Cruz Foundation. She has also worked with private collections, such as the archive of photographer Bel Pedrosa, consisting of photographs and negatives. She has a strong interest in paper-based and photographic collections.

Museologist graduated from the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro – UNIRIO (2008), Master in International Relations from the State University of Rio de Janeiro – UERJ (2012) and post-graduated in Conservation and Restoration of Historic-Artistic Assets by Palazzo Spinelli , Italy (2018). She has been working as a Museology Technician at the National Historical and Artistic Heritage Institute (IPHAN) since 2010, with an emphasis on Preventive Conservation of movable cultural assets.

Claudia S. Rodrigues de Carvalho is an architect and urban planner, graduated (1985) and master (1997) from the FAU-UFRJ of Rio de Janeiro, doctor (2006) from the FAU-USP. She took specialization courses at ICCROM and at the Centre for Sustainable Heritage – University College London. She worked at IPHAN – National Institute of Historical and Artistic Heritage (1984/1992) and at the Casa de Rui Barbosa Foundation (1992-2019) She is currently a professor in the Professional Master’s courses in Memory and Collections at FCRB and in Project and Heritage at FAU-UFRJ, and a researcher in the Research Group Preventive Conservation of Historic Buildings and Sites – FRCB (Leader. She is a member of the Scientific Council of the Theory and Philosophy Committee of ICOMOS – BRAZIL, the Conservation Committee and the Demhist of ICOM- BR, and the Core-Team of APOYOnline- Association for Heritage Preservation of the Americas (APOYOnline).

Josefa completed her undergraduate studies at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, earning a degree in Arts and Humanities with a focus on art history, heritage studies, and conservation. She then pursued a master’s degree in Principles of Conservation at University College London, graduating in 2022. Currently, she works as a preventive conservator at the Museo Chileno de Arte Precolombino in Santiago, Chile. Her main areas of interest include First Nations, community engagement in conservation decision-making, and integrating sustainability into conservation practices, especially within the Latin American context.

Lénia Fernandes has a M.A. in Conservation and Restoration from Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, specializing in photograph and paper objects. She is currently pursuing a PhD in the same institution on the topic of colour slides in Portuguese collections. She previously worked as a photograph conservator at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam (2014-2016 and 2021-2022) and the Nederlands Fotomuseum (2016-2021). Her professional experience is also connected to institutions such as the Historisches Archiv der Stadt Köln (2012-2014), HTW-Berlin (2011), the Arquivo Regional e Biblioteca Pública da Madeira (2009-2011) and the Image Permanence Institute (2007-2008).

Undergraduate student in Conservation and Restoration of Movable and Integrated Cultural Heritage at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). Currently, she is an APOYOnline intern, supported by the Mellon Foundation, responsible for the creation and development of the association’s Image Portal, focused on managing its digital photographic collection. She was previously an intern at the Laboratory for Conservation and Restoration of Graphic Documents (LACRE) at the Fundação Casa de Rui Barbosa (FCRB), where she strenghtened her knowledge in paper conservation and restoration. She also has an interest in artistic photography and photographic conservation.

She coordinates the Special Projects at APOYOnline, with support from the Mellon Foundation, and serves as Cultural Director of the Association of Conservators and Restorers of Cultural Heritage (ARCO.it), and works as a conservator-restorer specializing in sculpture, mural paintings, and integrated heritage. She is also a fellow of the Foundation for Scientific and Technological Development in Health (FIOTEC), collaborating on the PRESERVO Project: Fiocruz Collections Complex.

Teresa has been Senior Conservator and responsible for the conservation and restoration of the drawings and prints collections, the implementation of some Preventive Conservation programmes and research in the field of engraving at the National Museum of Ancient Art since the end of 2021. Previously, she worked as coordinator of the Collections Service at the National Library of Portugal since 1997. She has collaborated with various institutions in the conservation of their collections of graphic documents and runs training courses in preventive conservation for professionals from libraries, archives and museums. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Conservation and Restoration with a specialisation in Graphic Documents (1993), a degree in Specialised Higher Studies in Art Expertise (1995), a Master’s degree in Heritage Studies (2013) and a Master’s degree in Documentation and Information Sciences (2019). She is currently studying for a PhD in History and Philosophy of Science- Museology.

Passionate about art and all its expressions, Yazmin studied Fine Arts at the University of Panama. He has been dedicated to Printing techniques and teaching them for 15 years (engraving, screen printing and others). She worked for 10 years in the workshop of the artist Carlos Cruz Diez as a restorer of artworks and heritage objects. She has participated in various art and conservation courses and seminars. She is currently a Senior Conservator and Restorer at the Panama Interoceanic Canal Museum. In 2023 she was a fellow at the Annual Meeting of the American Institute for Conservation in Jacksonville Florida, where she presented a Poster.
