APOYOnline – Association for Heritage Preservation of the Americas – launched an international solidarity campaign in the United States and Canada to collect and donate conservation materials to the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. These supplies were intended to support museums, archives, libraries, and other institutions whose collections were affected—and continue to be affected—by severe flooding.
The immediate priority was to help institutions safely store and stabilize their collections to enable long-term recovery. APOYOnline worked in close coordination with Brazilian authorities in Washington, D.C., as well as with governmental agencies, museums, archives, libraries, and administrative entities in Rio Grande do Sul, to facilitate the transfer and distribution of donated materials.
This page was developed during the campaign to share information, resources, and updates related to this emergency response effort
APOYOnline provides up-to-date technical information in Portuguese and Spanish to support the rescue and recovery of water-damaged cultural heritage materials.
