She holds a PhD in Fine Arts – Art and Heritage Sciences, and bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Conservation and Restoration of Movable Heritage, focusing on easel painting. She also completed an internship in Preventive Conservation at the National Library of Portugal. She worked at the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (2009-2011), contributing to the management, preventive conservation and restoration of the region’s cultural heritage. She has participated in conservation-restoration projects in public and private cultural institutions, notably the 16th-century Main Altarpiece of Funchal Cathedral (2011-2014). She also collaborated with the Museu de Arte Sacra do Funchal on collection care and temporary exhibitions (2015–2019). She is currently head of the Conservation and Restoration Service at the Casa-Museu Frederico de Freitas (Regional Directorate of Culture of the Autonomous Region of Madeira).
